this network routing issue in bluehost's network is giving me a FUCK ton of pause

and obviously the nvme storage on bluehost has made the cross reference much faster according to ian's report.. so gonna end up not entirely shortchanged as soon as i find someone with reliable support

and ionos may be it

ive bought a 5 dollar 2 core 2gb 80 disk server with ionos and will move my dns and irc and basic web hosting over.. AGAIN the at the first get the bigger server and quickmove xref .. seafiles will just be unreliable until then cause regardless afterburst is shutting down

I have zero experience dealing with web hosters. Only thing I know is that vm hosted on modern multicore cpus might be slow. Too many cores and not enough comuting power. Good only for low cpu sotrage access.

well i am aiming for performance equal or better than that of afterburst so they only need to meet 2019 standards

since bluehost ruined my naming scheme.. i have chosen lithium as the name of the small server which i am paying 5 dollars a month for.. and if i grab one of those extra large servers with 8 cores 16gbs of ram and 480 disk i could see that covering pretty much i would need and then some for a good while

big server will be called cadmium.. resume my metal-based naming scheme then i guess

AND i have dvd control so i can actually CUSTOM install my blastic os.. so yeah ionos is what I SHOULD have went with in the first place not some networksolutions rebrand

have to give them a call cause i can't seem to get a working iso installation of el8.. i mean their template just has selinux enabled i can disable it but i prefer to have it not have touched anything
