njsg: Originally, yes.

But last I knew (and admittedly, I haven't been paying much attention to Gnome lately), Gnome still shipped Gimp as its principle image editor.
-
jonadab
(Perhaps they've removed Gimp now, on the grounds that it's useful, and useful features are bad? I wouldn't be deeply surprised, but I haven't _heard_ anything about that happening.)

I suppose in the case of the emails being rejected thread it might have to be set on the sending MUA side, but I'm recalling that there is at least one mail service that can't pass SPF when forwarding e-mails (in one of these automatic forwarding settings) because they mangle it enough that it fails SPF.

And that provider is MICROS~1.

njsg
MICROS~1: "What do you mean we can't say the message was sent by the address in From:?"

AOL: "What is '8-bit clean'?"
-
njsg
I wonder what else lies out there :-P

(Also AOL: "If it's not ASCII, it must be utf8, right?")

FWIW GIMP finally shipped its upgrade to... GTK+ 3.x
-
tomman
it's... yeah, what you would expect from GTK3
-
njsg

-
» njsg wonders again why is this thing named *GIMP* ToolKit

» njsg wonders if it's in tvtropes under "artifact title"

njsg: it took them almost as much as it took Duke Nukem Forever to ship :D
-
tomman
...OK, not really, but it was vaporware for ages, then BEWARE OF THE LIONS alpha code
-
njsg
tomman: to be fair, with Duke Nukem Forever it kind of is in the name
-
tomman
could be worse, tho
-
tomman
could be the Boeing 777X
-
tomman
"a relatively small upgrade, new motors, folding wings, first deliveries in 2020!"
-
tomman
...and every year it gets delayed one more year
-
tomman
so DNF already has its new generations of challengers
-
njsg
coming from Boeing, the challenge won't be delivering in the near future
-
njsg
but delivering with all bolts included and without hidden SPOFs that stall the plane
-
njsg
startpage suddenly said something about requiring JS but is back to normal again, uh
