so I am pretty sure I have figured out how to mass rebuild a baseos's worth of rpms using just mock and the right config and wildcard of source rpms.. how it works is it preps a chroot for the target system.. then foreach package it builds ... mock via the spec file preps each dep.. but splitting off would deff involve quite a bootstrap effort to get a changed base able to self perpetuate its self

also tried to install windows 11 ltsc but it refuses to install tried reghacks tried alerting boot.wim alerting install.wim.. i need more advanced tools to figure it out reproduceably-ly but i just can't care enough about windows 11 to continue.. so I put LTSC 2021 on there and will justt deal with it in 2027..

they are upgrading the setup routine in boot.wim now.. so i figure that is one cause..

There is a 2021 LTSC iot which is good till 2029. I stick with server 2019 2022.

what I would ACTUALLY need to do any real forkoff linux project would be to isolate the core baseos and compiler stuff split THAT off get that building and then upgrade glib and gcc rebuild then upgrade components and add graphical and boom there you go a brand new distribution.. just needs a means of deployment beyond tarball and fuckoff get your own kernel

though I have to really think tho I am using largely mainstream linux to replace and also run in part or in full windows.. this nearly as limiting as just USING windows.. especially with wsl2 existing.. it is a pattern i am trying to break so maybe full stop str8 x86-64 lfs is the best way
