well i was used to restarting my computer with windows but on linux i reboot it

nsITobin: probably depends on your distro, it's restart in the menu for Fedora

well i know you use konversation so i guess you use the KDE.. how is plasma working out for you.. when I was in just 2 days ago on 42 it upset me before I could even get to system settings or kcontrol center or whatever its called this month .. the whole 42 release is ghastly but the real story is centos stream 10.. it is currently only installable from iso media as the latest rpms core baseos rpms have rpm package failures so netinstall or dnf

chroot install is out for now.. went to #centos asked me about it.. and i was told to use something else and shuffled out the door .. when i didn't part everything else I said was ignored

oddly though kde is included in stream 10 atm anyway

How does centos produce a worse version of fedora 40 than 40 was in rawhide? How is that even humanly possible?

suffice it to say there is no point in using centos stream and really even if the bugs are fixed it isn't really a system i want to run even in rhel/rocky/alma form..

almalinux now deviates from rhel but not in the number one way that would matter.. building it like it used to be built no appstream

rocky remains more or less pure rhel

so i guess stream really is rhel beta in full now

Just remember boys and girls.. if you use CentOS Stream you are giving your time away to a for profit development process

and being a CentOS Stream user means you are an unpaid redhat tester

i tend to use Gnome
