I use Seamonkey since before 2010.

Unhappily since 2020 several sites are broken when trying access using

seamonkey.

Since previous version 2.53.19 the bookmarks feature is broken.

Not is possible create an bookmark link and had worked in 2.53.18.

Only waiting if the bookmark feature will be fixed in next release.

Also since internal download manager code was updated the plugins

Flashgot and downloadthemall are broken not having any fix from own

creators.

augusto: I do know that the places frontend (library with bookmarks and history) is being updated.. a few items may be broken but need more detail.. as for extensions.. well I am Tobin so my answer is gonna be HOW did they break and also.. extensions kinda need actually maintained for what they target so.. again without more detail..

as for general webcompat.. it is as the backports are.. Always improving though

I have done an test with an clean seamonkey install without installing addons ... continue broken ... Seamonkey Linux 64 bits build current version

I have removed the previous \home\username\.mozilla path folder so starting seamonkey will be created an new profile .... not fix .... bookmarks continue broken

I cannot confirm with existing or without existing profile on windows and linux.. I can create edit and delete bookmarks from library window and bookmarks toolbar

but I can't reproduce .. can you open tools > Web Development > Error Console clear it then go and try and create a bookmark real quick and tell me without pasting in here if it has errors and stuff

augusto: where did you get your copy of seamonkey?

Seamonkey profiles in \home\username\.mozilla and \home\cache\.mozilla both paths removed .... seamonkey start and create an new profile and not any installation of addons

augusto: you confident enough to remove the package version and go grab the mainline build and try running that in place.. see if maybe ubuntu screwed it up?

history works ... not any issues

see that is even more strange cause it is LITERALLY the same backend

These releases are usually as stable as the ogfficial ones. I use them 100%. If there are problmes they are either spotted fast or go into the release too.

When you do make a windows binary, is it possible to add a zip for x64 us-en?

Packager alwys generates it but I don't usuylly upload it. Does not register mapi dlls so usualyl just use the installer. Can upload too

augusto bookmarking is ok for me on Linux too. It might be distribution specific or a problem with you linux user profile.
