so it might be just a matter of testing a different Fx UA string for google and see if it loads, but it's possible their reason to change was, for a change, that someone actually checked the dependencies

but this is the same google that messed the window.performance code in Translate...

Nitter works because there's a single site to go to view public feeds. The fediverse has no single home like that, making it much more complicated to view public feeds from instances. Brutaldon is structured to be a client for mastodon accounts, and as such you'll need an account to use it.

In addition, I worry that would make brutaldon a tool for block evasions. So such a feature is even lower on my priority list.

as for the blocks part, I call it perhaps a consequence of trying to be a clone of TSNFKAT, or of these "social media" networks in general

the concept of blocks shows up there, and indeed that doesn't make much sense when things are public. I'm not sure such an argument should prevent brutaldon from allowing public access, as far as posters have the ability to require authentication of some sort (but even then, if something is not follower-only with follow requests enabled, does the whole thing of expecting blocked people not to see it make

sense? also, if authentication is the only thing, then one can always get another account)

now as for requiring an account: doesn't the interface offer ways to read feeds (at least tags and the local feed) without an account, and posts too?
