liveHello? I have had to goto this preinstalled browser as FF-ESR has stopped functioning correctly, I need to know if it is possible to "sign-in" to SM rel 2.53.18.2 as if it were Firefox? I want to do this because of several addons (that might not work) but I would like to try but most importantly is the passwords that is stored in browser there that I am in need of here.
-
liveanyone here?
-
tommanlive: you mean importing a profile?
-
tommanI'm not sure if SM and current FF share the same password manager backend
-
tommanbut addons will NOT work, for sure
-
liveyes? I think.
-
liveI mean I could 'sign in' into it and get my addons and passwords to load
-
tommanthere is no "sign in" in SeaMonkey (just like there was never a "sign in" on Mozilla Suite)
-
tommanwhat you used to do is to import compatible parts of your profile
-
liveI am not surprised at addons
-
liveit might be a show stopper I fear (the addons) that will undoubtted load
-
liveAh can I do that here too
-
tomman
-
tommanOK, the passwords backend is the same on SM, thankfully
-
tommanit should be enough with just copying key4.db and logins.json from your FF to SM profile
-
tomman(do that with the browser NOT running!)
