therube
thank you :-).
-
therube
so just what kind of contraption is
archive.seamonkey-project.org/releases ?
-
therube
as in, /releases/ does not show any 2.53.18.2 "directory", yet the .exe is within a "2.53.18.2" directory /tree/
-
MattATobin
therube: likely cause its archive storage and no automated process is my guess
-
nanotube
hi. so is the archive.seamonkey-project.org/releases/2.53.18.2/ directory listing going to show up at some point? or is the directory listing on /releases/ now just permanently frozen?
-
therube
-
nanotube
therube: mmm, do you know if it's on the radar to be fixed?
-
therube
nanotube: no clue
-
nanotube
i guess i'll file a bug
-
njsg
it's most likely because of how files are stored, the listings probably need to be updated/created.
-
nanotube
yea probably trivial to fix, but if nobody does it it won't happen
-
MattATobin
sign
-
MattATobin
sigh*
-
MattATobin
Pale Moon's gitea is busted and will not allow any kind of clone or tarball download
-
MattATobin
pushes may work I don't have a valid rpmo account anymore ..
-
MattATobin
also manditory mpl complience issue if not recitified cause there is no other way to get source code AND I am personally blocked on the email level from contacting an MPL contributor.. not that anyone cares about silly things like the license lol
-
MattATobin
hi tomman
-
hardys
frg_Away: WG9s: locking at the the new archive at
archive.seamonkey-project.org/releases for all releases the de folders with the de-installer are missing
-
MattATobin
that is an odd omittion how can that even happen?
-
WG9s
VI have no idea what you are complaining about I only do the nightly archives at
archive.seamonkey-project.org/nightly they only have en-US builds and build langpacks for other locales
-
WG9s
hardys: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
-
WG9s
i have not a lot to do with the releases directory
-
MattATobin
well it is new-ish
-
MattATobin
right?
-
MattATobin
but yeah best not anger the germans.. doesn't always go over well
-
MattATobin
:P
-
WG9s
oh wait now i am remainded of a tv show episode
-
MattATobin
i can think of a couple television references
-
WG9s
-
MattATobin
yeah i used an old uxp clone to pull from rpmo.. yeah it's fucked.
-
MattATobin
hold on WG9s need to grab my headset
-
hardys
WG9s: no offense, only ask what went wrong with copying the files
-
MattATobin
WG9s: That is not one I would have thought of but I should have lol
-
WG9s
hardys: like i said I have zero to do with releases i only do nightly
-
hardys
WG9s: maybe have to ask ewong:
-
MattATobin
hardys: if i were to theorize I betcha it was a list of langpacks and in listing em de got skipped or something
-
WG9s
it might become my issues. I was thinking of asking eong to train me on how to do what he does and get me same access onlto system sto make changes so we could do more around the clock support of this
-
MattATobin
my question remains why not alter the installer to allow you to select the language and then just bundle and activate the langpack except work to make it do that and migration lol
-
WG9s
but for now i have now wy to figure out what is wron nor any way to fix it even if i did.
-
hardys
ewong: ^^ ^
-
MattATobin
well i wouldn't worry there are still copies on mozilla's infra worse comes to worse grab all the de stuffs and upload em right?
-
WG9s
my guess is de got built as a seperate build and as such the langpack was not posted.
-
MattATobin
or that
-
WG9s
i do that on my 2.53 builds i buld en_us and do alngpacks anc a de whole build but post the de langpack also
-
WG9s
-
hardys
-
hardys
-
WG9s
if the de build does not laod you can do the en_US one wit the langpack for now unitl tis is fixed is all i was trying to say
-
hardys
the build loads but I can not view the folder, maybe a permission problem
-
WG9s
hardys: is complaining on #SeaMonkey that there is an issue with the posted de locale win64 installer build
-
WG9s
i told him to dosnload the en_us and install the de langpack until we wort this.
-
hardys
I am happy with your de builds, you provide on your site, only noticed this odd behavior on the archive site
-
WG9s
hardys: you should talk to frg about this he does the win builds and is also in Germany so normally runs the de builds so he would be the best bet to talk to about this when he is bck online
-
WG9s
meanwhile you coud try the en_US build and see if it fails the same wa there and also what versin is this and what is the last previous versions without the issue
-
hardys
WG9s: will do, maybe he is on Easter vacation
-
WG9s
wouls be nice to see if this is a new isue with 2.53.18.2 or not
-
WG9s
well a bit alte for him also
-
WG9s
we might need to pull the 2.53.18.2 if this is a new issue that did not occur under 2.53.18.1
-
hardys
WG9s: when you open
archive.seamonkey-project.org/releases/index.html do you see the folder 2.53.18.2?
-
WG9s
Oh this is an issue for ewong:
-
WG9s
i do not see that
-
hardys
I thing a permission problem
-
hardys
*think
-
WG9s
same issue i see with nightly i bet when the first april build for 2.53 shows up there will be no 04 entry at
archive.seamonkey-project.org/nightly/2024/index.html same issue ewong is working on it suposedly
-
WG9s
hardys: no is an issue with how the index.html file is created
-
WG9s
it might be an issue with the permissions on te file however so that adding files and folders an;t update te file due to permission issues I will talk to ewong aobu tthis.
-
WG9s
about this
-
MattATobin
WG9s: file permissions.. I didn't consider that when i was blind-speculating
