Reminds me a bit of the blockchain hype. Not much left of it. AI has more potential but doubt you will see fast returns if you pour money into it. I can understand that they they need to make money. Maybe enterprise contracts would have worked once but now with Chrome so far entrenched no incentive to switch to Firefox if you are a business. They don't care about manifest v3, pprivacy or content blocking. And no PWA support either. This is all crap but now needed.

Microsoft Edge is the current leader in PWA experience because they bring it to the forefront but it is still based on the browser being the main window

as in today's web browser concept is still the main window and I believe that is what keeps leading us broadly to keep screwing up like this leaving generational tech gaps

We have to abandon the concept of a web browser as in the Netscape Navigator style of web browser AS the main interface to the web

in order to actually experiment with bridging the gap between desktop and web

and in doing so it may for some make a Netscape Navigator style interface all you need cause well most sites and services are more like desktop programs to the user

the thing in doing this with Mozilla tech that makes it better than chrome is.. anyone can jump into mozilla with a little foreknowlege and learn a bunch still but jumping into chromium is a nightmare

but who would have that kind of foresight and experience with the concepts
