02:35:11 The Internet Archive drank the Googleisms kool-aid, and now it renders nothing but the top bar because the entire site is now a JS crapp and wants dynamic imports 02:35:13 BUT! 02:35:41 after poking at the HTML, turns out that if you add "?noscript=true" to the URLs, then it renders... HTML! 02:36:04 (And a stupid warning bar telling me that my browser is not "MODERN", whatever the hell means that) 02:37:32 example: https://archive.org/details/boardwatchmagazine => renders nothing 02:37:39 but https://archive.org/details/boardwatchmagazine?noscript=true actually renders the collection 02:39:45 unfortunately that still renders a partially unusable site, but I guess one page of results is better than a useless nav bar... 13:02:58 Happy New Year, guys!! 13:09:26 WG9s: does your server have some issue? 13:11:35 WG9s: the last builds dated 12/30/23 are missing today and the design of the site looks broken 13:30:42 hardys: should be better now 13:42:04 WG9s. 13:42:35 WG9s: looks fine :) 13:43:42 ell still missing build from last night as soon as I get build tools back i will fix tried updating the system OS and the whole system would not boot so had to redo all from scratch 13:43:51 good thing i had good backups 13:44:49 WG9s: good to know. Have a Happy New Year 13:46:31 hardys: u2 22:09:09 happy new year, .* 22:09:58 tonymec|away: I think some time ago the noscript parameter just didn't work. Internet Archive pages look kind of brittle to me, be it the archive or the wayback machine 22:11:10 not so recently, the wayback machine would sometimes return failure on save but would actually save a bit later. bad because I hadn't noticed, good because it at least works. Now it sometimes just blocks access, sometimes works and is, in general, slow 22:11:21 and is also overcomplicated, so much reliance on JS... 22:12:09 nsjg: happy new year. About noscript and/or wayback machine: dunno. 22:12:58 ... I swear I saw tomman when I tab-completed above 22:13:31 * njsg goes clean glasses
