back in the day this was tivial because everyone was all basically using the same versions if not identical code state everyone else was

now it is harder

in general profiles are not backwards compatible but what version of firefox are you trying to come from and do you perhaps have an earlier backup

I'm moving from FF 102, which has "version: 3" in the JSON file. I notice SM has 2.

it is not JUST signons.json

best case is backup profile then copy key/login files over; not sure if master password needs to be cleared first if set (just the password) and then it would magically work

And... no any earlier backup would likely need to be years earlier.

copy logins.json key4.db and cert9.db from your profile. Not sure if the current versions are compatible but you will find out. Do a backup in all cases.

I can export CSV from FF. I saw mentions of an extension to export. I did not find anything mentioning import.

What I can't figure out: I know when I first tried moving "logins.json" my SM profile had key3.db. But when I looked this time it had key4.

i have personally seen small glitches happen which is why historically i wouldn't assist with frankenprofiles

And this is actually one of two SM installs. My computer is MUCH happier without all those gigs getting consumed with TB & FF.

Its sad when its considered "OK" that each app should take 1G of RAM. FF, SM, Crumb (chrome), Slack, ...

CoordinatorTobin: a problem with this would be confirming what the limits are exactly, what formats are supported, and what upgrade/migration paths are possible. probably means looking up in the mozillazine forum and in the newsgroups too

I've restarted, deleted and added passwords multiple times in random order and all seems good to go.

or even connecting the AUS back up.. just do an appdata break and consider Interlink on UXPv4 as a pseudo-successor

To recap: I disable the master password in FF. Then copied cert9.db, key4.db and logins.json from my FFprofile to my SM profile.

Well sidebar help and sessionstore are the three areas needing an overhaul. I suspect we already broke some stuff in the sidebar and no one noticed.

the add-ons manager is a chrome level xhtml document despite it's xul extension and if you blocked loading from chrome into browser elements for content you would have broken a fuck ton of extensions

cause it is getting a zero margin from :not(.padded) up the line

cause it is using windows's accent styling

but all the styling is very inconsistant

between the urlbar, the search button and search bar and go button

but these have been mounting issues in the classic theme all along

but overriding toolkit styling here would seem to be the best case if you want to get everything to actually be the same size on the default theme

and I already did that kind of tedius fiddling before i am sure I can do it again for you I just need to know where to attack it from so it doesn't get in the way of the patch queue

i assume you want the os-integration effect just would like stuff not to look like it is a toolbar full of elements that don't quite match
