How can import .ics to Lightning Calendar in SeaMonkey?

I can do ˋDates and Tas → Importˊ, but nothing happens. Known Bug?

first try worked, asked which calendar to import into and imported, now this is most likely a (years old, at this point) a calendar file generated by Microsoft Outlook and sent by e-mail (which I extracted from the e-mail back then)

(amd64 build on Windows NT 6.1)

Well, my goal is to import a single date .ics into an Lighning. .ics is on ma HDD. WTR with my installation of DE SeaMonkey 2.53.16 Beta 1 Pre Mozilla/5.0 (NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0 SeaMonkey/2.53.16 Build 20221208220001 (newly created User Profile), Default Classic Theme on German WIN10 64bit

1. Launch SM Calendar

2. Menu ˋDates and Tasks → Import ...ˊ

» Expected: Dialog opens, whatever else ... Anything!

Actual: Nothing happens! 😥

Rainer_Bielefeld: did you check the toolkit error console (assuming it is still in comm)

close down start up open console open mailnews component open lightning clear the console and start the import and watch for crap to pop in

btw i am trying to tell you from memory

and that is memory of the 2.49 state so i may be slightly off

as far as I can see there's no code in SM2.53.16 code that includes Services.catMan

njsg: there were potenitally some nightly builds that had patches in but they were backed out months ago

oh lightning as distribution would install in profile .. so maybe that is your issue a lightning mismatch

i forgot seamonkey still did that

I will likely redesign it into a nuBorealis xul applet and bootstrap that back to Interlink .. OF COURSE if you guys JUST moved the binary xpcom and lib shit to the platform and mangled the UI into an extension that was actually cross-platform you could at LEAST get THAT far reletively easily
