tomman
and now, Skyscrapper City forums are completely broken on SeaMonkey
-
tomman
> TypeError: b is undefined core-compiled.js:2:10463
-
tomman
their forums have been a little bit screwy in the last few weeks, but today the site fails to render properly - it now renders like someone stole the stylesheet
-
tomman
> for(f in a)if(a.hasOwnProperty(f)&&(e[f]=a[f],b.hasOwnProperty(f)))
-
tomman
that if condition seems to be... screwy
-
tomman
I'm not sure if Google rewrote boolean logic while I was asleep, but I'm pretty much sure that's not a valid logic expression
-
tomman
Anyway, that's parsing, it's whoever is "b" which is getting undefined
-
tomman
-
GrannyGoose
tomman what was the link to that Forum? an have you tried other forums that use the same forum software
-
tomman
-
tomman
those use XenForo
-
tomman
since forums are largely dead these days, I can't think on another forum with a similar setup (but I think I've seen a similar one recently elsewhere...)
-
GrannyGoose
tomman thanks, i got 25315, dunno if you have it
-
GrannyGoose
yep i can see, it dont render at all
-
tomman
the JS errors are not the usual culprits (missing new JavaScript shinies from Chrome and friends), rather it's a unhelpful "b is undefined" somewhere
-
GrannyGoose
if 25314 renders stay with it, i think the XFCE forum uses the same software
-
tomman
this is on 2.53.14
-
tomman
it rendered fine until two days ago
-
tomman
they pushed an update and it's now all broken
-
GrannyGoose
let me look at the XFCE forum wityh 25315
-
tomman
that seems to be another platform, FluxBB
-
tomman
xenforo.com/community XenForo official forums do render fine here...
-
tomman
oh, found something
-
tomman
-
tomman
they also run the same build of XenForo
-
tomman
apparently those boards are run by these folks:
verticalscope.com
-
tomman
techsupportforum.com/threads/intel-810e-ca810e-board.102720 also broken in same fashion, same owner, same custom XenForo build
-
tomman
so it seems whatever mods VerticalScope did to their XenForo build now break on non-Chrome/FF in a rather weird way
-
tomman
these do render fine on FF91ESR
-
tomman
and now that I recheck on FF91ESR, I can now notice that VerticalScope/XenForo forums were already breaking on our browsers in rather subtle ways
-
tomman
for example prior to yesterdays major breakage, posts were rendering in a sort of simplified view (no info about poster, etc)
-
tomman
but on FF91ESR it still renders in the usual, complete format
-
tomman
wtf, speaking of broken forums
-
GrannyGoose
wierd. my guess is 25316 wont be any better
-
tomman
Pale Moon forums won't load here: SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP
-
tomman
won't also load on FF91ESR!
-
tomman
(same error)
-
GrannyGoose
i just got a connection error to PM myself
-
GrannyGoose
same as you
-
tomman
time to fire up Wireshark and figure out what the hell is happening
-
tomman
TLS connection is setup, SM asks for TLSv1.2
-
GrannyGoose
have fun. i might tottle off to bed,
-
tomman
PM server instead refuses with an Handshake Failure
-
GrannyGoose
ok im off, have a good one
-
tomman
the entire Pale Moon domain is broken due to that, might be a server issue?
-
tomman
yup, must be a server issue, as it won't even load on my cellphone running latest FF Mobile
-
tomman
downforeveryoneorjustme.com oh boy, dynamic imports just to enable a stupid textbox!
-
tomman
isitdownorjust.me/palemoon-org this one works, but claims it's up?
-
tomman
isitdownrightnow.com comes clear for the main domain, but confirms that the forums won't load
-
frg_Away
tomman loads fine here. Maybe fixed
-
tomman
frg_Away: now loads here too, most likely a server failure then
-
WG9s
tomman: or an issue between your ISP network and the network that the palemoon servers live on.
-
tomman
WG9s: that would explain the average "can't connect to this site", but their server was up, and rejecting SSL handshakes
-
tomman
unless if it was some bizarro MITM attack...
-
tomman
anything is possible, to be fair
-
WG9s
OIC so more like an issue not connectivity related
-
WG9s
you could connect but ssl handshake failed
-
WG9s
tomman: that would make sense if you were using an at work account where they force you to use a proxy or if your ISP had you using a chaching proxy to try to boost performance.
-
tomman
forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=28995 wow, why in the hell a router management UI would require frickin' BigInt support!?
-
tomman
WHY
-
tomman
you can avoid visiting websites that require useless shinies, but when the shinies infect your FIRMWARE... well, that's an act of war
-
CaptainTobin
i have a general question one person MIGHT know the answer to
-
CaptainTobin
are ntfs junctions to ram drives actaully worth it io wise
-
CaptainTobin
obviously in a mozcontext it would be for the objdir
