one of my banks have been pestering me for enabling Google Authenticator for 2FA, but that's happening Over My Dead Body.

the one site that stopped allowing Authy works with 2FAS, so I've avoided Google Authenticator too

Many sites just say Google Authenticator and it turns out they work with others too.

It's like those sites that say "Get our app or continue in Chrome.".

Or those annoying Illinois state government sites that say "If you're logged into your Google Chrome account, you won't see a CAPTCHA.".
