a-865 what does having polyfill installed and working accomplish?

It unbreaks *some* Web sites that work in Firefox and Chrome but not in SeaMonkey by patching them up.

Oh, heads up on GMail.

OAuth2 and GMail IMAP now says SeaMonkey isn't a secure application.

Google also blocks logins on their Web site.

I hacked around this by giving google.com and gmail.com UA overrides to later Firefox ua strings and it let me log in, in both cases, and now I can get my IMAP mail again.

buc added the micorotask patches and Bug 1480236. No crash but NoScript now gives now and then:

Palefills might be something to merge by default. It's clear the Web is getting away from us faster than SeaMonkey can adapt to it.

Flexman I own an M1 and it works there. I am having trouble with the full screen button which is completely broken but works on my Intel mac with 10.15. Suspect M1 problem with rosetta we need to fix but not sure.

You can try dom.webcomponents.customelements.enabled and dom.webcomponents.enabled set to true. If the sute uses shadow dom it will fail otherwise fully or partial work.

tomman I have seen this on mac once or twice and also recently around 2.53.13 right after update. But one time and then no more. If you open the web console you might spot errors during startup. The old error consloe isn't that good bere.

tomman If you use NoScript there is an 8s delay becuase it includes an embedded webext part which tries to backup settings. Fails becuase not initialized in SM. I ripped it out and am a happy camper since then. Not sure if this might cause it during a power out. I rarely use the Linux and mac versions but Windows is fine for me here and at lest same frontend code. But our sessionstore code...

i often get stupid assed session store errors using latest firefox so might not be unique to here

all I get is a blank page (not even the homepage loads!)

when everything goes normal, on the next startup the homepage will load and I'm able to restore my last session

after a crash the session either restores automatically or I get a "We're sorry!" tab with the option to restore my session

someone is subscribing me to mailing lists

but in these cases, I get nothing, nada, zero, just a completely blank tab

funny thing is only a few of them did I have to opt out of.. the rest especially the really numerious multi-sub ones.. all require opt in

and with my past session gone

so whomever it is is wasting their time, creating a data trail, and it merely costs me a few seconds of noticing more shit in Interlink pop in and wondering if there will be a time when I actually piss someone off who isn't almost completely ineffectual at this shit
