JamminUnit: what platform / version are you using?

JamminUnit make sure python 3 is installed. If you reuse an old object directory delete it too before starting a build. mach clobber is broken because of the ongoing transistion to python 3.

IanN_Away: platform is Gentoo Linux. I have python-2.7 and python-3.10 installed.

IanN_Away: this is an entirely fresh attempt to build 2.53.14b1. No old obj directory.

JamminUnit Should work. gentoo maintainer did some of the python stuff. did you do just mach build?

Try just mach build but should make no difference.

tomman imho all a big kludge because js like java is not multithreaded. So you work around blocking stuff with it. Same with async but at least I find async more to my liking.
