NewTobinParadigm: I was for a long time, don't really consider myself to have stopped, though I spend very little time consciously doing any.
-
NewTobinParadigm
I still have bug edit privs bestowed upon me by Ratty
-
a-865
I don't remember how to check what my privs are.
-
NewTobinParadigm

Nominees for Friends of the Fish Tank?

WG9s_
I finally got around to redoing my clandar reminder so it coincides with the new schedule
-
frg_away
IanN for being master of desaster
-
rsx11m
seconded!
-
WG9s_
hmm was that an A-Team reference? Like BA Baracas, or more like Bruce and the GIg man reference
-
frg_away
and given the longer schedule mcsmurf for Santas little helper :)
-
IanN
sssh, not allowed to mention the S word yet
-
WG9s
I don;t understand mcsmurf. Is he green or blue?
-
frg_away
purple I think.
-
frg_away
Without him no money to toss around.
-
WG9s_
JUst sayin" mc sounds green-ish smurf sounds blue-ish.
-
frg_away
Anyone seconded or just a signle nomination this time ?

Action Items
-
frg_away
Hrosik added a non private cert to the log bot so time to add it to the website.
-
WG9s_
NOt sure this is in the action items list, but I need to get on the stick to get comm-central builds to work without my now 2 backouts.
-
WG9s_
but then might be more approprite for state of the tree topic
-
frg_away
Given googles policy on privacy and freedom of speech time to removed the archives from it too I think:
groups.google.com/g/mozilla.support.seamonkey
-
IanN
is there another place that has the archives?
-
frg_away
IanN I don't think so but the newsgroup is still there. Still hosted somewhere.
-
frg_away
Still using mozilla.test together with WaltS48 and a few others :)
-
IanN
good :)
-
njsg
I think news.mozilla.org is still operating normally at least for seamonkey groups. But that's only via news; I don't remember if gmane has previous archives for this list, but that also doesn't have a web interface nowadays.
-
IanN
any views on the schedule switch from those that were not at the last meeting?
-
tonymec
what schedule switch?
-
frg_away
tonymec 3 weeks instad of two weeks
-
tonymec
ah, no prob for me.
-
rsx11m
I'm fine with that
-
frg_away
-
IanN
thanks :)
-
IanN
Status of the SeaMonkey Infrastructure
-
frg_away
ewong is busy so don't think anything done. Updated the Windows builder to latest VS2019 for 2.53.13 as announced.
-
frg_away
I think I might update clang to the latest 14.x level for the next beta. WG9s has no problmes with it under Windows.
-
frg_away
Still using 11.x
-
IanN
yeah, I will have to test it on CentOS7
-
frg_away
Anything > 9 is blocked on the Linux builder.
-
frg_away
Unless we compile ourselves.
-
IanN
Status of the SeaMonkey Source Tree
-
frg_away
comm-central is broken because of some mozilla component removals. WG9s has a workaround.
-
frg_away
Nothing we would want to backport so slow go from me.
-
frg_away
If WG9s does not beat me to it might take a look next weekend. Patches can then land in the queue like the xhtml rename and applied later.
-
IanN
Release Train
-
IanN
2.53.13 was released last week
-
frg_away
2.53.13 is out. IanN and I are busy putting in stylo fixes but not there yet. I think we should do a 2.53.13.1 for the next sec update and just bake 2.53.14 a bit more.
-
frg_away
That siad it is very stable.
-
frg_away
^said

Extensions Tracking
-
frg_away
2.53.13 broke some as expected. DTA is still not fixed. Others are being updated at least unofficially.
-
WG9s_
I am still on 11.x clang on macos cross-compiles another back burner fix thing iam behind on
-
frg_away
Well later version worked for me on Rocky 8 I think.
-
frg_away
Need to check.
-
WG9s_
i need to sort that out
-
WG9s_
sorry i am commenting on back posts was away for a bit there
-
tonymec
Don't know since how long (forgot to report it) but the main about:addons page is broken for me. All lines show only (disabled) without an extension name. Extensions work though, and I can access their preferences by means of the Extension Options addon. To enable or disable them I would have to hand-edit the appropriate ini format file somewhere in the profile hierarchy.
-
frg_away
I do all building in virtual machines. Much more stable. Server 2016 and CentOS 7 and now a bit of Rocky 8.
-
njsg
tonymec: which SM version?
-
frg_away
tonymec Do you have version number installed? Remove it.
-
tonymec
frg_away: 2.53.14b1pre 20220716210004 but is been (IIRC) already months like this.
-
frg_away
tonymec check the error console.
-
tonymec
frg_away: I'll try that after the meeting bcuz not obvious (shutdown Sm, hand-edit the extensions profile file, restart).
-
IanN
2.Next, Feature List, Planning & Roundtable
-
tonymec
frg_away: there's so much in the Browser Console I'm swamped
-
frg_away
nothing new from me.
-
IanN
nor I
-
njsg
I'm hoping I can do at least one more address-book related fix.
-
IanN
frg_away is the master of add-ons :)
-
frg_away
IanN I wish. But no alternative. On the bright side with manifest v3 crippling stuff it will be fun to still have add and script blocking still fully working using xul.
-
WG9s_
nothing from me
-
IanN
AOB
-
frg_away
-
tonymec
no AOB for me
-
IanN
okay, thanks for your time today, next meeting is in 3 weeks time, same bat channel, same bat time
-
rsx11m
= August 7th
-
IanN
correct :)
-
njsg
it'll hopefully be cooler by then? or have I jinxed it now?
-
rsx11m
August and "cool" doesn't quite mix
-
rsx11m
but you never know these days...
-
IanN
no warmer than today please
-
rsx11m
happy grilling! 8-)
-
WaltS48
bye!
-
frg_away
Sunny days ahead
-
frg_away
bye

tomman
FWIW, all of my addons are fine, but the first time the legacy generators stuff got removed I had to patch up things here
-
tomman
can't remember exactly what addon I had to fix, but eh, I was ready this time~
-
frg_Away
tomman can't say I like to take stuff out but these ancient js syntax needed to go. maybe a bit more but then we should be good. Wasted days rebasing patches and always one feet in the Spidermonkey grave :) Now with js test running again I can at least see if serious damage was done.
