Status of the SeaMonkey Infrastructure

Nothing new I think. Builders updated to rust 1.58.1 for the release but that was done last time already. Windows builder is now at latest VS2019 level too.

Status of the SeaMonkey Source Tree

All building. Compiler support for 2.53 changed. clang 4 and gcc < 7..3 are no longer supported because of c++17 requirement. I might desupport clang 5 and 6 too. Really ancient und untested.

2.53 code does currently not compile in c++17 mode. We are on it.

gtk2 is no longer a requirement. Myckel is working on python 3 support.

WG9s just fixed up central again so still building. Not doing much with 2.57 but it might no longer be needed with 2.53 progressing. We can reuse the version number maybe later if true. Just want to keep it for now. Not sure how you all see it but I don't have time for 3 trees.

Btw. if you set dom.webcomponents.customelements.enabled and dom.webcomponents.enabled to true in 2.53 gitlab and github almost work now. Not recvommended for everyday use.

Finalized the 2.53.12b1 source more or less. Some reviews mssing. Me bad reviewer...

Extensions Tracking

NPAPI plugin support is now truly gone. The plugin section is now hidden in the add-on manager. If we ever support eme it will pop up magically again. Showing now depends on installed plugins.

IanN Myckel helped with backporting the patches. It was worth it. I find 2.53.12b1 pre a bit snappier with all the backports including npapi.

2.Next, Feature List, Planning and Roundtable

Plan to do working on optional chaing. Too many websites break now because of it. But not sure if I am able to pull it off. Wanted first to put more stuff in but time is running out here I think.

So needs extensive rebases and I hope everything elase is already in or can be worked around.
