WaltS48
Some nice battles for the lead.

WG9s
w iting for frg to show up to see what he wants to do about the 2.53.12b1pre bustage he checked in yesterday.
-
WG9s
we both beleive in the let person who busted it get first try at fixing principal
-
WaltS48
I'm just a tester, do bug triage and not a coder.
-
WG9s
i added achange that i am not sure is correct to my local builds not sure about the way to proceed does he want to add a bustage fix or just alter his origianl patch
-
WG9s
if a seperate patch by me thn that would need to be r+'d by him anyway
-
WG9s
still tryhing to figure out why bustage is windows only wonder if the whole area of code does not get compiled except under windows
-
WG9s
the patch changes a boolean function. boolean functions can only return true or false but he added a return nullptr which is obviously workng still have no clue why the windows builds were the only ones that failed.
-
WG9s
using same version of clang for windows and linux compiles
-
WG9s
for my bui8lds i am redoing the windows builds replacing the return nullptr with a return false
-
WG9s
both will return zero but the second does not violate the boolean functions can only return true or false rule which should be enforced by the compiler
-
WG9s
besides that I am awaiting my weekly food delivery I set up during COVID can;t leave the house rules
-
WG9s
now are things with you

WaltS48
It is a rainy day here, other than that just going through my normal morning routine of checking weather sites, news, comics, email, bug mail, need to update Windows, just had a big update on Fedora, and I need to do some grocery shopping.

WG9s
WaltS48 another fedora fan! great!
-
WaltS48
Also happy I don't live in New Orleans area anymore.
-
WaltS48
I switched to Fedora because Ubuntu was dragging their behinds updating that email app called Thunderbird. They were still on version 78, when 91 had been out for awhile.
-
WG9s
well you cpuld just install the official TB version in /usr/local/bin
-
WG9s
or in ~/bin
-
WG9s
but then all of my 2.53.12b1 pre builds are built under fedora so thay should work better under fedora I would expect.
-
WaltS48
I don't follow convention and have the official TB version in ~/Apps along with the beta, daily and SeaMonkey. Currently using the beta.

Also had it that way on Ubuntu. Just didn't like them not being current.
