Hello: Just to note. Yesterday I installed the build for a k6-processor on the computer on which I would like to use the current Seamonkey version. Regrettably it failed, in contrast to the build of version 2.53.1 see hiereth.de/programm/2007sm.html in July 2020

Now I'm about to check whether I should have set the compiler flags specifying this processor as well for some of the necessary additional packages.

grep for SSE2 says, libwebp, nasm and nss contain this string. Presumably they use this set of instructions

mlh85386: being language deprived on reading your log I do my builds using clang. building SeaMonkey using modern versions of gcc fails for me.

mlh85386 The K6 is ancient. I would just retire it. An early Core2Duo is still usable but not this one.

frg_away: I know that the processor k6 is old. Nevertheless the computer so far is OK for me

I have a few old Thinkpads T20 to T30 from this time I still need for eprom and other chip burning but for web they are just mehhh... As I usally say with web browsing in these cases self torture :)

wg9s: I was able to build Seamonkey 2.53.1 with gcc. And I think the current problem is related to the code to be compiled.

mlh85386 might help to disable av1 webp and rust-simd.

frg_away: for libwebp (=which is the webp you mention i assume) and nasm i found configuration options to disable the SSE2 instructions set. Not so for nss. But maybe it is not important there.

av1 and rust-simd are not known to me. On what systems are they and who installs them?

whoever233232 Lots of options for tab and new window. Not every combination works always and there arer still some problems left. Best to describe you problem including an url step by step.

well it's using the program nzbget, if I have seamonkey open, it always opens a tab instead of a window

I'm just not a fan of tabs, much prefer windows

In preferences > Browser > Link Behavior make sure you have the 3rd option selected for all the groupings

I didn't want to add anything more to 2.53.10 but the new regexp engines should add up in one off the next versions. Hopefully 2.53.11 but want to add some more groundwork stuff to it first.

I just wish 2 factor using a chipcard would be easier to set up and usable out of the box in a vm. Security wise it would be way better but I refuste to use an app and smartphone for this. And email or sms 2 factor and not much to write home about.

frg_Away: no issue is becuase my smatphone is an iphone it does not seem to sant to use that wants me to use one of m android tablets that I don;t always have with me.

also can not figure out how to be able to use sendmail from my linux server to forward mail via my gmail unless i turn of 2 factor bull-shit
