Nothing new from me. Fixed a website typo but was really busy with other things SeaMonkey and life.

Status of the SeaMonkey Infrastructure

Updating the Windows builder right now for 2.53.9b1. I donÄt think aynthing else from me. ewong is working on the crash reporter. Deadline has been extended one last time.

deadline for both SM and TB is now 31st October

The SM .hu domain transfer is almost completed now

We discussed using clang 11 for macOS builds but clang 11 dislikes CentOS 7 (needs later glibc) so need to wait.

IanN: fixed? they haven't. I'm using them and it got worse since last meeting a fortnight ago.

Unrelated: I am having a hard time testing sasl and stored passwords so if it works let us know for the patch review.

tonymec: I will need steps on how to reproduce your current issue. The testing I've been doing with the current patch only prompted the once

This has been happening for some time but I never got around to mention it: after some time, especially on Facebook, memory use increses beyond limit (12 GB and more), Sm momopolizes the time of one of my CPU cores, and becomes sluggish (if I type faster than 1 keystroke every 2 or 3 seconds it loses up to half of them). If Facebook is the culprit I don't know which part of it is.

Also make sure the old stored passwords are gone. Not sure if this could confuse the code but it looked ok to me.

IanN: well, here it asks for a PW every time, even when reconnecting after the server detected a timeout, so I've disabled it. That's OK by me.

tonsmec facebook is garbage. 2.53.9 should have a fix for image memory allocation but there might be a bad script on the page.

frg: yeah, I guess there's a script somewhere with a never-ending loop. Only workaround I've found is restart SeaMonkey.

tonymec: so in my password manager I have an entry for ircs://libera.chat/ (sasl) and ircs://libera.chat/ (nick)

tonymec: for SASL it automatically takes the password from password manager

tonymec: for non-SASL I have use /identify and again it takes the password from password manager

tonymec: if I put /identify into Auto-perform it then automatically takes the password from password manager again

IanN: with SASL disabled I have a server startup line under "Lists" for libera: "/ns identify <password>" and it takes it from there.

There are other bugs too not just this one. Maybe we can continue and move the bug hunting to after the meeting.

Just installed on the Windows builder. Lets see how it pans out on Linux but should be ok I think.

Source code is in gitlab now and can be downloaded. Remember that you need JustOffs polyfill add-on for gitlab

frg_Away: yes I am, type "/version tonymec" in cZ and you'll see; but I've been keeping sasl disabled for a week or so. I have stored passwords for "ircs://irc.eu.libera.chat:7000 (sasl), username tonymec|away" and for "ircs://irc.eu.libera.chat (sasl), username tonymec".

njsg: yes, or at least it did until I turned sasl off a week or so ago

tonymec I so far only briefly looked at the patches and I think you only want passwords for libera.chat.

irc.eu is the server and might not be used. But IanN should know better.

frg_Away: for just libera.chat I don't have any, and IIRC I cannot type passwords directly into the pwmgr, I have to go to the site in question and let it do its stuff.

tonymec: have you added irc.eu.libera.chat entries to the libera.chat network in network editor

IanN: I've added them in chatzilla/networks.json in my SeaMonkey profile. At the same time I added isDeleted entries for moznet and freenode.

connecting to a server that is not listed against a network, means it will store it against the server URL rather than the networkURL

IanN: yeah, after I made this entries I noticed that it connected to ircs://irc.eu.libera.chat, and in case of failure to ircs://irc.eu.libera.chat:7000, but that the server tab in the cZ window now says "libera.chat".
