tonymec: updated SASL and password patches for cZ went in yesterday so hopefully they fix your issues with how passwords are stored

tonymec: they are now stored against network URL and username rather than server URL and nickname

IanN: Ah I see. I got a password prompt at startup today but I see PwMgr has saved passwords for tonymec on default ircs port and for tonymec|away on port 7000. Wait and see.

I read about some missing mail icons in Windows 10. I don't have any problems but the first thing I do with 8.1 and up is install open-shell menu :) Suspect manually pinned icons disappear and Nothing we can do.

But the installer misses some later updates here too so when I find some time will look at these.

Status of the SeaMonkey Source Tree

frg: we've made a request to be hosted on their FOSS section, and had a favourable response and some questions. Now waiting the next response following our answers

which basically is linked to source tree. All building. 2.57 is behind in fixes. Need to sync with 2.53. The 2.53 patch ques gets too boo big to be handled and would like to have a hg repo so picked heptapod to see if they take us.

for those that don't know, heptapod is a mercurial version of gitlab

Plan is to make at least a part of the 2.53 patch queue permanent. Unfortunately I still need to reshuffle older patches around when backporting. Not your usual development process :)

frg: adds to the fun

Initial modules support and Performance Observer api now in 2.53.9. Todays build will have modules enabled by default so please test.

Was usuable before but I wanted to put everything in for an offcial build first.

Next goal is service workers and more css grid / tables.

Release Train

2.53.8.1 is done and released. ESR 78.12 sec fixes which apply included.

SeaMonkey 2.53.8.1 was released on July 22nd

Not aware of any new regressions.

2.53.9 beta 1 is due soon, either this week or next

I would say todays source level is it. Maybe inlcude the debugQA fixes. Thanks to mozilla some broken links.

I statrted to do l10n updates for 2.53.9 and there is still some missing. Might delay the beta for a week or two.
