BTW, Is there anyone still in Thunderbird project who can add the proper additional dialog for this case?

buc There we are with a full patch again. I think they also now want phab patches only but not sure.

I am unable to see the cpu spike under Windows so should probably confined to Linux. Looking at the code I am not sure it is the right thing to do to always timeout immediately. There is an option to set a timeout value if I remember correctly. Mabe it should be used for Linux and tried again.
