I am not into containers or VM for my homelab

native install is resource friendly

shrini-weechat: proxmox requires dedicated machine, probably not good for one or two VMs (virt-manager is good enough and can work on any distro). For self hosted services, I suggest podman, runs on every distro, runs as rootless, no need for VM.
