I will tell what I read so far and what I practice in just a few words.. nothing new or fancy but to me sounded practical to implement

As I said I am a person who is so unorganized.. stepping into almost everything i come across in a given day. say for eg: if Shrini says study python a specific topic i will do it.. and if some article says this subject has got the good future i will go behind them for a while.. in between i will get into my office work.. movies.. etc etc etc.. and it continues..

i will continue sharing my learning about the book tomorrow.

we always postpone that task

but the points are good. let me try to implement

instead of doing that A task, we do all the C,D tasks

which have less important

or dont have any important

just imagine, how many big tasks we have dreamed of

but missed to even start

those are the frogs

find why we skip them, why we fear to start them

but in case if we can't finish the task within the time period, just have to start next task. or postpone

yes Sugi.. I think this is the principle they use in SCRUM as well

sometime you tend to overcommit by taking up too many tasks

which you will come to know when you actually start to work..

using that as a learning.. when you set the priorities the next time.. you will carefully pick the task and the timeline to complete those..

yes.. if you think task A is taking too much time for you to complete.. split that into child task and try to complete the next day.. sparing task b and c for another day.. that way you will atleast complete task a fully and feel accomplished

if you have one hour to work, then plan for one A, one B and one C

For ex. I am writing a blog its taking quite a lot of time as its my earlier days, but I have some other coding work also there. If I leave blog work in the middle that flow I may loose, and next time it will take some extra time to recollect and restart

but I fixed like task A-is blog writing, and B-is Coding. For A giving 25min time, can't finish, then in the middle coding should I start?

It depends on the urgency of B

In general, its good to complete A

Or split the blog into multiple parts

And plan for only 20 min

for technical blogs, I take same time as writing code

you have search for the content, read it, then have to write the blog in your own way

on initial days, we take much time to cut the veggies, prepare the things etc

but, as we grow, we plan what to cook, in previous day itself and do the essential things

inner mind should keep on thinking while we do mundane tasks

I use emacs for my TODO list manager, journal, knowledge base, secrets/credentaisl manager, IRC chat client

few people use it as email client, RSS feed reader, music player, file manager etc

i have seen many times you and other friends here using that term and am curious

i tried using python with emacs and it was like using a python editor even though its not

with all the autocomplete, suggesting features

just search for it

before that, use it just like a plain text editor

learn the org mode and its structure

use it for your daily journaling and taking notes

the soon, we start using emacs, its good for our life time
