In programming/ learning there is no wast of time. While I am working on my project during college days i am very beginner to programming, with my own interest i started to develop some applications, that time i will get more number of errors and mistakes so i will keep trying to solve the errors 15:40:59 but i could not. at the same time i progress only a little bit for a whole day, like if i clear a error in a line then while building the project the error will occur at another line. In my case while i am going sleep i will remember like "i made a progress today" even its a very simple/ small progress its worked for me. at the same time i will visualize my goal. so dont think like this. 15:42:22 no shrini i am not bounded with any projects 15:42:43 correct Karunakaran 15:42:53 progress is important on the learning phase 15:43:02 will ask sugi to read the chatlogs tomorrwo 15:43:19 all our chats are logged here automatically 15:43:20 https://ircbot.comm-central.org:8080/kaniyam 15:43:27 thanks to our logbot_cc 15:43:39 Karunakaran: do you have time to pick some project? 15:43:45 have to worked on open-tamil ? 15:44:16 hariharan: you got a reply email from muthu 15:44:26 thanks for the PR 15:44:35 https://github.com/Ezhil-Language-Foundation/open-tamil/pull/259 15:44:52 even if it changed from null pointer exception to some other error, i will think like i did something today. 15:45:19 hope it get merged soon hariharan 15:45:27 i will work on flask tommorow shrini 15:45:43 nice anish 15:46:04 Karunakaran: check our project ideas from here - https://github.com/KaniyamFoundation/ProjectIdeas/issues 15:46:09 i will join again tommorow 15:46:13 ok anish 15:46:34 shrini: I have difficulties in understanding old codebases where no framework or clean code practices made in codebase 15:46:34 Its harder to get the flow to know what done there for 15:47:47 welcome to the real world 15:48:09 we have to break our heads with staring the code for hours and hours 15:48:13 that is the only way 15:48:37 good way to start is to add tons comments 15:48:42 with our understanding 15:48:42 even though i dont have time i will look into the project ideas shrini. 15:48:50 near each function/method 15:48:56 thanks Karunakaran 15:53:47 hariharan: add more comments with your understandings 15:53:57 thats is a good start 16:07:11 shrini: I have updated ubuntu os to ssd but it still takes 1.5mins to run the start job 16:07:15 Why? 16:31:49 what is the start job you are refering hariharan ? 16:32:24 do you mean the time taken after login screen and to get the ubuntu desktop? 16:32:39 check the autostarting daemons and stop them all 16:50:47 Ping 16:51:51 sethu_payilagam: thanks for your next postgres talk 16:52:07 annamalai: thanks for the gdb talk at kanchilug 16:52:38 hariharan: systemctl list-unit-files --type=service | less 16:52:44 run this command too 16:52:54 to know what are the services are enabled by default 18:01:51 In Plymouth boot screen after mounting swap system 18:01:51 /dev/uuid/xxxxxx is starting 0s / 1m30s like timer is running after it runs other services like ssh apache mysql starts and ubuntu desktop login is opening 18:07:30 oh 18:07:48 we need to get some more logs to dig deeper 18:07:59 please ask in https://forums.tamillinuxcommunity.org/ 18:42:18 shrini: thanks to you as well for insisting to do a talk 19:57:19 https://neilzone.co.uk/2024/02/improving-my-laptops-battery-with-tlp/ 19:57:51 https://linrunner.de/tlp/index.html 19:58:02 Seems with tlp we can save laptop battery
